I had the privilege of working on InMoment's main marketing site, a representation of a company that's a true powerhouse in the field. Known for their Voice of the Customer product, InMoment emerged from the fusion of Empathica and Mindshare, and their marketing site reflects that same innovative spirit.
Now, a bit of honesty: I didn't build this website from scratch, and I've got mixed feelings about that. I wish I had! But I was brought into the fold after the foundation had been laid by a talented agency. Sometimes, starting with a clean slate isn't in the cards, and that's okay. I embraced the challenge, took what was there, and transformed it into something extraordinary.
Here's what I rolled up my sleeves and got into:
- Header Navigation & Megamenu: I revamped the whole navigation experience, making it sleek and user-friendly.
- Homepage Hero & Marketing Elements: I added some flair to the homepage, giving it the hero it deserved.
- Site Speed Optimizations: I made this beast run like a cheetah, optimizing every nook and cranny.
- Upgrading Extensive Dependencies Using Node JS: I upgraded like a pro, ensuring everything was up to date and running smoothly.
- Adding Tailwind CSS & Rebuilding the Development Pipeline: I gave the site a fresh look and streamlined the development process.
InMoment's site is a global sensation, used by hundreds of editors and packed with thousands of posts and pages in 5 languages. Wrangling the multilingual aspect was like taming a wild stallion, but I did it, and it's been an incredible learning experience.
